Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at LVHHN

Radiology is a branch of medicine that uses X-rays, radioactive isotopes, magnetic fields and sound waves to image the bones and internal organs in the body. The tests are performed by an x-ray technologist and then a radiologist, a doctor who is trained to evaluate imaging studies in the Radiology Department, studies the images and reports the findings to your doctor.

All radiology procedures are used as an aid in detecting and diagnosing a multitude of diseases and injuries. Please let the technologist or radiologist know if you are allergic to any medications or if you think you may be pregnant.
